Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Data Entry Accounting Clerk to join our team in Dubai or Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting financial data into our accounting system, ensuring records remain precise and up to date, and assisting the accounting team as needed. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain financial data into our accounting system, including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions
  • Verify and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Process and record invoices, payments, and credit memos
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of financial transactions and account activity
  • Perform data entry tasks, including scanning and indexing documents, and updating database records
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and reviewing financial statements
  • Provide support to the accounting team as needed, including answering questions and resolving issues
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding sensitive financial information

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in accounting or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in data entry accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting
  • Certification in accounting, such as CPA or CMA

Work Environment

  • This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek
